Within our 25 acre shooting ground, we have dedicated ranges for Air Weapons which are availble through the Leicester Air Gun & Field Traget Club. The club has regular weekly shooting sessions and also hold FT competitions. All weapons must not exceed 12Ft/lbs energy for Rifles and 6 Ft/lbs for pistols. This is a fun way to shoot air rifles and simulate hunting, competitors aim to shoot the small “kill” zone that forms part of a larger metal target that resembles small game animals. On most competition targets, the hit zone forms the end of a short lever that tips the faceplate backwards when successfully hit. These targets have to be reset by tugging on a length of cord attached to the faceplate above the hinge.Targets may be placed at any distance between 8 yards and 45 yards from the firing line. Targets are often placed high up banks or in trees, or down steep slopes.You get 30 targets to shoot at and the best score wins!
